Ryder Cup 2014: Rory McIlroy happy with foursomes fightback

Rory McIlroy was pleased to clinch a half with Sergio Garcia after the European pair were two down with two to play in the Ryder Cup foursomes on Friday.

World number one McIlroy sunk a 40ft putt on the 17th before Garcia sent a superb five-wood into the 18th green to set up an eagle chance.

The duo lost their fourball game on Friday morning but their half against Rickie Fowler and US debutant Jimmy Walker helped Europe into a 5-3 lead.
