Rory McIlroy thrilled by latest Race to Dubai triumph

Rory McIlroy says he is delighted after landing a third European order of Merit title title in four seasons.

The world number three had to withstand a strong challenge from England's Andy Sullivan before earning the World Tour Championship victory which secured his latest Race to Dubai title.

McIlroy secured the number one spot despite being out of action for a month during the summer after breaking his ankle while playing football with friends.

"To win the Race to Duba given the amount of events I've played, shows how well I've played in those events," said the Northern Irishman.
