Rory McIlroy confident after opening 67 at Irish Open

Rory McIlroy says he is pleased with his opening round of five-under-par 67, which sees him trail leader Danny Willett by two shots after the first round of the Irish Open at the K Club.

"I feel I took advantage of the better conditions, as the guys had it pretty tough out there in the morning," said the Northern Irishman.

"I felt my game was well under control and it's easy to stay relaxed when you are confident about your game."
