GB ice hockey set sights on Sochi

Great Britain's men's ice hockey team are on the brink of qualifying for the 2014 Winter Olympics following their success in a pre-qualification tournament in Japan.

The next stage of the competition will be held in Latvia in February and, if successful, they will become the first British Ice Hockey team to reach the Winter Olympics since 1948.

The team face stiff competition from three teams ranked higher than them - Latvia, France and Kazakhstan - but Team GB head coach Tony Hand says his team may well "spring a few surprises" in the upcoming tournament.
