The Belfast Giants returned to domestic action last weekend following their exit from the Continental Cup at the semi-final stage in France.
Steve Thornton's side trailed in both games late in the third period but battled back to win, beating the Fife Flyers 3-2 after overtime in Kircaldy on Saturday, with Calvin Elfring scoring the sudden-death winner.
It was the final game of qualifying in the Challenge Cup and the Giants will face the Cardiff Devils in the quarter-finals later in the season.
On Sunday the Sheffield Steelers made their first visit to the Odyssey Arena this season and Mike Kompon's second goal of the game with just 30 seconds remaining tied the score at 3-3 before he scored again in the shootout, setting the scene for Evan Cheverie to win the game.
This weekend the Giants face a double header in Cardiff and Kompon and Cody Brookwell talk exclusively to Face-off reflecting on two important wins and looking ahead to the battles in the Welsh capital.
