Face Off: Mike Radja's winner puts Giants top of table again
The Belfast Giants retained first place in the Elite League after splitting their two games last weekend. After losing 4-3 at the Nottingham Panthers they won a tightly fought contest against the Manchester Storm.
With the game tied at 1-1 after overtime it went to penalty shots and after 17 misses with Giants netminder Stephen Murphy making a number of big saves, it was forward Mike Radja who pocketed the game winner.
The Giants face three games over four nights starting with a tough league game against the Edinburgh Capitals on Thursday night.
The Scottish side scored seven times in a big win over Sheffield Steelers last Sunday.
The Giants will then travel to Cardiff on Saturday and return home for a Challenge Cup game with the Dundee Stars on Sunday (Face-off 5pm).
