Derry manager Brian McIver hails Derry Division Two win

Derry manager Brian McIver says his side's Football League Division Two final win over Westmeath is "just reward" for his young players' efforts.

"A lot of our lads were playing at Croke Park for the first time and they reacted very well - we are heading in the right direction," said the Oak Leaf boss.

McIver's thoughts now turn to his side's Ulster Championship opener against Down on 2 June.
