North West 200: Record chaser Alastair Seeley on pace in opening practice

Alastair Seeley is happy with his times in Tuesday's opening practice session at the North West 200 as he begins a week which could see him becoming the most successful rider in the history of the event.

Seeley, 36, needs one triumph to move ahead of the all-time North West 200 record of 15 wins he holds with the late Robert Dunlop.

The Carrickfergus man was fastest in the opening Supersport qualifying session and was second quickest in both the Superbike and Superstock classes.
