House built on Beijing success

Twenty-year-old Olga Kharlan has literally fought her way out of a one-bedroom flat she grew up in.

Olga's upbringing in Mykolaiv, southern Ukraine was modest and she only took up the sport of fencing because lessons were free.

At the Beijing Olympics she won gold as part of Ukraine's three-woman sabre fencing team and now she has accrued enough prize money from the sport to build herself a new house.
