Olympic Moments: Rand wins long jump Gold in Tokyo 1964

Mary Rand wins the long jump at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, becoming Britain's first female track and field gold medallist.

The 24-year-old took Gold on the first day of competition with a new world record leap of 6.76 metres.

Rand also came away with a silver in the pentathlon - only the second ever person to exceed 5000 points - and ran in the British 4x100m relay team which won the bronze medal.
