Kearney exits in judo competition

Belfast's Lisa Kearney loses her judo opener to exit from the Olympic Games in London.

Kearney, the first Irishwoman to compete in judo at an Olympic Games, was beaten by China's Wu Shugen in the 48 kilogram bout on a golden score which is the sport's equivalent of extra-time.

The 23-year-old said was "disappointed" by her early exit but her coach Ciaran Ward insisted the the Belfastwoman had performed well.
