Emotional Jessica Ennis collects London 2012 Olympic gold

Jessica Ennis was one of three Team GB athletic stars to win gold on a magical night for British sport at the Olympic Stadium.

Ennis dominated the heptathlon from the start, leading her rivals after the four events on day one.

She then effectively clinched gold with strong performances in the long jump and javelin on day two, before rounding off victory in the 800m.

There were emotional scenes as the 'face of the Games' collected her medal in front of thousands of delighted fans in east London.
