Ballymena boxer Steven Donnelly hails the team spirit among the Irish boxing team as "fantastic" after a unanimous victory over Algerian Zohir Kedache in his opening fight.
A member of Ireland's eight-strong Olympic team failed a drugs test in the build-up to the Rio Games and has been provisionally suspended from competition.
"We're all pushing each other on and will continue to do until the end of this tournament, and we're all going to come away with a big prize," Donnelly told BBC NI's Stephen Watson.
Welterweight Donnelly will face Tuvshinbat Byamba of Mongolia in the last 16 on Thursday 11 August, needing two more victories to guarantee a bronze medal.
