Rio 2016: James Foad's 'heartbreaking' decision to miss Games
Olympic bronze medallist James Foad tells BBC South Today he may reconsider his retirement plans after injury ended his hopes of competing at Rio.
Foad, 28, from Southampton, made the decision to withdraw from Great Britain's rowing squad on Wednesday.
He requires surgery to refit metal screws and plates fitted in his lower spine following an operation after London 2012.
But, Foad told BBC South Today's Tony Husband he would find it hard to completely walk away from the sport just yet.
