Widnes playmaker Kevin Brown and ex-Great Britain coach Brian Noble discuss the key components in a great halves pairing.
Brown, named in the 2014 Super League Dream Team, has been one of the most consistent halves in the competition in recent seasons with Huddersfield and then the Vikings.
Noble, who played at hooker during his own impressive playing career, has been responsible for selecting a combination at Test level.
English candidates such as Gareth Widdop - playing in the NRL - Matty Smith, Brown, Marc Sneyd and Liam Sutcliffe show the strength available to coach Steve McNamara, despite the quality of Scotland's Danny Brough and imports like Aussies Scott Dureau, Todd Carney, Luke Walsh and Albert Kelly also playing in Super League.
