Newport County manager Justin Edinburgh tells Sport Wales he has no doubts that the club will avoid relegation this season as his rebuilding work begins to take shape at Spytty Park.
County find themselves in the middle of a relegation fight in the Blue Square Bet Premier, four months after replacing Anthony Hudson as manager.
Hudson was sacked in September after winning once in the opening 13 games and Sport Wales understands his appointment five months earlier had not been supported by either Newport's benefactor or chairman.
"We had a democratic vote," revealed chairman Chris Blight. "There was seven or eight members involved in that vote."
But Edinburgh has led the club to within two wins of a place at Wembley in the FA Trophy, and the former Spurs defender is adamant they will soon move clear of the bottom four in the league.
