Anscombe takes confidence from consistency

Ulster coach Mark Anscombe says his squad can take confidence into the Pro12 play-offs from the consistency they have achieved this season.

Anscombe highlights the number of young players who have made their debut for Ireland but bemoans the loss of Luke Marshall to injury, while commending Stuart Olding for taking his chance.

The Kiwi says Ulster's two victories over the Scarlets earlier this season will have no bearing on Friday night's semi-final at Ravenhill, and welcomes the news that Jared Payne has agreed a new three-year deal with the Irish province.
