100 play match for dying Nelson RFC stalwart Vernon Jenkins
Scrum V talks to Nelson RFC stalwart Vernon Jenkins who has terminal lung cancer.
He played more than 700 times for the club and has been given six to 12 months to live.
More than 100 players turned out for his memorial match officiated by international referee Nigel Owens.
"I feel as if playing rugby over five decades I could run through walls, run through men, but there's nothing you can do about cancer," said Jenkins.
"I wish I could put all the love of everybody of all the wishes I've had, put it in a bottle and drink it...I've got some fantastic friends and family."
