Marshall upbeat despite World Cup absence

Luke Marshall is philosophical about missing out on World Cup duty for Ireland after an injury-ravaged 2014-15 season and is just pleased to be back in an Ulster jersey.

Marshall is wearing a scrum-cap this season in the hope that he might offer him some additional protection after he suffered a series of knocks to the head last season.

The Ulster centre was a regular in the Ireland side during the 2013 Six Nations and while he admits to a little "jealousy" at not being involved in the World Cup, he is hoping that Joe Schmidt's side will have a strong tournament.
