Paul O'Connell: What rugby means to Ireland icon

Speaking to BBC Sport in 2014, Ireland's Paul O'Connell explains what rugby union means to him.

O'Connell's international career is over after the Ireland captain tore his hamstring during Ireland's World Cup victory over France.

The 36-year-old was due to move to French side Toulon after the tournament but has now announced his retirement from all forms of rugby with immediate effect.
