Paul O'Connell says he will be happy if he is back in action in six months as he recovers from the hamstring injury that ended his Ireland career at the World Cup.
O'Connell, 36, was due to join up with Toulon after the tournament but now could miss his entire first season with the French club.
"It's a fairly serious injury. I'm 36 as well. I'm not a young guy. It is going to take a lot of care and looking after and the rehab is quite difficult as well," said the former Ireland captain.
