Action planned after McMahon setback

Swim Ireland say measures will be taken after Sycerika McMahon missed out on competing in the breaststroke at the World Championships.

The Portaferry teenager was unaware she had not achieved the required A standard for the Barcelona event within the specified time period.

McMahon, who said she was "devastated", claimed that no-one from Swim Ireland pointed this out to her until after the time window had elapsed.
