World record for Peaty in semis

Britain's Adam Peaty breaks the world record as he qualifies for the final of the 50m breaststroke at the World Swimming Championships in Kazan, Russia.

The 20-year-old's time of 26.42 seconds was 0.2 seconds faster than the record set by South Africa's Cameron van der Burgh earlier on Tuesday.

Peaty, who won gold in the 100m breaststoke on Monday, won his semi-final ahead of American Kevin Cordes and Serbia's Caba Siladi.
