Australian Open: 'Very bad' display frustrates Nadal

World number three Rafael Nadal says that he was "very bad" during his quarter-final defeat to Tomas Berdych at the Australian Open on Tuesday.

Seventh seed Berdych beat Nadal 6-2 6-0 7-6 (7-5) to end a 17-match losing streak against the Spaniard.

Czech Berdych, who began working with Andy Murray's former coach Dani Vallverdu at the end of 2014, will now face Murray in the last four after the Scot beat Nick Kyrgios 6-3 7-6 (7-5) 6-3.
