Johanna Konta praises Eastbourne atmosphere after top-10 scalp

British number two Johanna Konta is delighted with her first victory over an opponent in the world's top 10 at the Aegon International in Eastbourne, following her straights sets win against Russia's eighth-ranked Ekaterina Makarova.

Konta, 24, who is the world number 146, said "it was an absolute pleasure to play on a court with such a good atmosphere".

The Australia-born player will meet Spaniard Garbine Muguruza, the 14th seed, in the third round following the 6-2 6-4 win over Makarova.
