Sochi 2014: Welshman Lloyd Jones bids for French gold

Cardiff-born Lloyd Jones explains to Sport Wales' Gareth Rhys Owen how he came to compete for France in ice dance at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics.

Jones and Pernelle Carron, his skating partner and girlfriend, met when he moved to Lyon to study as a teenager.

His mother Dawn Jones says her son, 25, was inspired by Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean's Olympic gold-medal-winning performance in Sarajevo in 1984. Jones and Carron take to the ice in Russia on Monday, 17 February.
