Tony Pulis: West Brom boss takes cap off for rowing epic

He's earning a reputation as the man who digs Premier League clubs out of trouble, but West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis is preparing for a completely different challenge away from football.

As soon as the season ends Pulis will leave his trademark baseball cap behind and jump in a rowing boat for a gruelling 450-mile race from London to Paris to raise money for charity.

The Welshman invited the BBC's Sport Wales show to join him in the gym at 6am as he trained for the epic open-water challenge.

Hear more about Tony's cross-channel challenge - and his views on West Brom, Swansea City and Cardiff City - on Sport Wales from 20:00 GMT on BBC Two Wales on Friday, 24 April. The programme is also available on BBC iPlayer for seven days after transmission.
