Runners braved blizzards during the Original Mountain Marathon held in Wales last weekend

Runners braved freezing temperatures and blizzards during the Original Mountain Marathon held in South Wales at the weekend.

The OMM has been running for 50 years and is always held at the end of October to guarantee challenging weather.

Teams of two spend two days attempting to find a series of checkpoints across the mountains with entrants required to be self-sufficient and carry their tent and supplies.
