McCorkell happy with Sochi performance

Coleraine skater Jenna McCorkell said she was "over the moon" with her performance at the Winter Olympics despite narrowly missing on a place in Thursday's concluding free skating in the ladies event.

McCorkell was one place outside the top-24 spot which she needed to progress to concluding free programme but she avoided a repetition of her performance four years ago in Vancouver, when she fell on three occasions in the the short programme.

"I can walk away from it knowing I did my job and the best that I could and I'm really pleased," said the 27-year-old.
