GB bobsleigh pilot Jackson on his 'astounding' injury rehab

In August hopes that the Great Britain's men's bobsleigh team could challenge for a medal at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics were in jeopardy after their pilot John Jackson ruptured his Achilles.

Jackson, 36, could have been out for up to 12 months, but opted for pioneering treatment and is now expecting to push a bobsleigh in time for the start of the new season in November.

His recovery has been almost three times quicker than would have been expected following traditional treatments for similar injuries and Jackson, who is also a royal marine sergeant, tells BBC Sport's Nick Hope that he believes there is "no reason" why the team cannot challenge for a podium finish in Russia next year.
