Leicester Riders suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Chester Jets on Sunday, going down 117-94.

But a convincing win over Essex Pirates on Saturday - their eighth home victory in a row - means Riders remain seventh and well set for a BBL play-off spot.

JR Blount led the way as Leicester crushed Pirates 88-70 at the John Sandford Centre.

But 24 hours later high-flying Chester eased to victory despite another 22 points from the impressive Blount.

The top eight sides contest the end-of-season play-offs and Riders are two points clear of Guildford and four points clear of Worcester, with have just two games left in the regular season.

Riders face Newcastle and Guildford Heat next weekend.
