Worcester Wolves head coach Paul James has signed small forward Carlos Fernandez to the 2011 roster and is looking to add a new power forward.
Fernandez, 23, stands at 6ft 6in and played for Leon last season in the second tier of the Spanish League having graduated from Illinois Tech.
James told BBC Hereford and Worcester: "The new squad is panning out great.
"There will be a chance for Carlos to earn greater minutes in the BBL, and use the experience he has gained."
The Wolves coach added: "Carlos only got limited minutes last year at Leon due to the calibre of player he was playing behind."
"However you cannot doubt the quality of the competition he has been involved in.
And James admitted that he was still on the look-out for another player in the forward position, adding:
"My plans still include a spot for a [new] power forward.
"I have already had a few thoughts about possible signings who could make a difference, but am open to being contacted by any player who thinks they could have an impact at the position."
