Mersey Tigers forward David Aliu has signed a new two-year contract to remain with the club.
The 30-year-old, who hails from Liverpool, made 35 appearances for the Tigers last season.
"I just want to keep winning, keep competing and keep picking up trophies," said Aliu.
"I want to be part of something special and help the club grow in the city. I want to be able to promote basketball in Liverpool."
Aliu averaged 23 minutes and 12.5 points each time he played last season, as the Tigers won the treble of BBL Championship, BBL Trophy and BBL Play-Off Final.
He now hopes to inspire children in his home city to take up the sport and wants more success in the coming season.
"I want to get kids playing something other than or as well as football, and help them develop new skills and abilities. I'd love for that to be basketball.
"We had a good group last season, and I'm looking forward to being part of it again," added Aliu.
