Great Britain captain Andrew Sullivan has said he would like to remain a Leicester Riders player.
The 31-year-old joined on a week-to-week deal earlier this month but says contract details still need finalising,
"It would be nice if there was an opportunity to stay but it's not really in my hands so, I'm patiently waiting," the forward told BBC Radio Leicester.
"If they are want to keep me here there will be things we need to talk about, off court stuff."
The former Mersey Tiger has already made a big impact in the first few games for the club, and will be in action again on Saturday night when MK Lions visit the John Sandford Centre in the BBL Cup.
He added: "At this moment I'm here trying to help the team win some games and get better and it's really up to the management to decide what they want to do.
"On court, I feel like I fit in pretty well and bring a lot of experience from playing in Europe's big leagues and with the national team."
