Guildford Heat coach Creon Raftopoulos insists he has the backing of the owner and can improve the side's fortunes.
The Surrey side, who won the BBL Championship and BBL Cup in 2007, currently lie eighth in the table.
He told BBC Surrey: "I've always stuck by one important rule in coaching: if I felt I didn't have the dressing room, I'd be the first person to walk.
"The guys believe in me and what I'm trying to do. I've also got the support of the owner."
The Zimbabwean added: "There are going to be some fans who aren't happy because of the history of the club and how it's done.
"When the team wins, it's great players. When the team loses, it's a bad coach. That's just how it is.
"I'm sticking to it. I'm staying positive and I want to get the results."
