Plymouth Raiders have signed 6ft 8ins forward Daveon Boardingham for the new British Basketball League season.
The 23-year-old moves from Southern Mississippi University in the USA, where he averaged 10 points and five rebounds per game last season.
"I am thrilled to be be starting my professional basketball career in Plymouth with the Raiders," said Boardingham.
"It's an honour to come and play for a team with such a rich tradition."
Boardingham follows Gerald Robinson, Kris Douse, Brent Benson, Josh Wilcher, Nick George and Louis Sayers in committing themselves to the club for the 2014-15 campaign.
"Being the only rookie player that I have added to the roster so far gives you a measure of how highly I regard him as a player," Raiders head coach Jay Marriott said.
"He's played in a very tough conference and under a great coach who shares a similar basketball philosophy to me."
