Bristol Flyers want to become "one of the top teams" in the British Basketball League, according to coach Andreas Kapoulas.

Kapoulas, who has been named as the Molten Coach of the Year, led the Flyers to the BBL play-offs and BBL Cup semi-finals this season.

"Planning has already begun for next season," Kapoulas told BBC Radio Bristol.

"Now we've made the play-offs, we want to do better than that."

He added: "We establish ourselves as one of the top teams in this league. There's going to be a lot of work over the summer."

Bristol Flyers finished eighth in the BBL this season, their first-ever campaign in British basketball's top tier.

"This year, we came into this league to compete and to finish as high as possible," said Kapoulas.

"We wanted to make Bristol proud and put Bristol basketball on the map. I think we've done that very well."
