Marshall overawed by world gold
- From the section Olympics
Savannah Marshall celebrates her 21st birthday by becoming Britain's first women's world boxing champion after a 17-15 victory over Azerbaijan's Elena Vystropova in China.
Overwhelmed by emotion, Marshall says the win has yet to sink in and it is what she has been working towards since she first stepped into the ring aged 12.
The Hartlepool middleweight had already qualified for the British Olympic team following her semi-final win.
