Kell Brook will return to the ring for the first time since being stabbed when he fights in Sheffield on 28 March.
The 28-year-old Briton won the IBF welterweight title in August 2014 when he beat Shawn Porter by way of a majority points decision.
But, the following month, he was stabbed in the leg with a machete while on holiday in Tenerife.
Brook is unbeaten in 33 fights and his opponent for the first defence of his title will be named on 22 January.
He did have a fight planned for last December prior to his stabbing.
Brook wants a contest with British rival Amir Khan in 2015 and potentially Floyd Mayweather.
