Derbyshire head of cricket John Morris says it is time for the club to put Don Amott's messy departure as chairman behind them.
Amott, who was in the post for six years, resigned in March after falling out with some fellow board members but he remains on the General Committee.
Morris told BBC Radio Derby: "We appreciate what Don did as chairman but we have to move on.
"Don is still on the committee so he'll be around. That's good for the club."
Amott resigned last month as he felt he was being undermined and disagreed with changes in the cricket decision-making process.
Chris Grant was appointed as Amott's successor at the club's Annual General Meeting last week.
