Bury St Edmunds will host its first List A match for six years when Unicorns take on Essex in the Clydesdale Bank 40 on 8 May.
The Victory Ground's last county match saw Gloucestershire face Suffolk in the Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy in 2005.
The venue is regularly used for Suffolk's Minor Counties games and is home to Bury St Edmunds, a former club of Essex head coach Paul Grayson.
Unicorns are a side compiled of players without first-class contracts.
They have been placed in Group C of the CB40 along with Lancashire, Nottinghamshire, Glamorgan, Gloucestershire, Essex and Somerset.
