Durham's Graham Onions haul sends Warwickshire to defeat

Graham Onions took four wickets to send Durham on their way to an eight-wicket win over Warwickshire at the Riverside.
From 52-4 at the start of the day, a lead of only 16, Warwickshire slumped to 93-8 before Tim Ambrose (51) steered the Bears to 137 all out.
Ambrose fell lbw to Onions, who picked up 4-28 in only his second match since returning from a long-term back injury.
Makeshift opener Scott Borthwick then made an unbeaten 48 as Durham eased to their victory target of 102.
It marked the end of a good match for Borthwick, who earlier trapped nightwatchman Paul Best leg before to complete a four-wicket haul of his own.
Indeed, it was Borthwick's three wickets on the third evening that began a Warwickshire collapse that ended their winning start to the season.
With the bounce becoming more variable on the final day, Onions had Rikki Clarke lbw and Jim Troughton caught behind either side of a rain break before Borthwick did for Best.
Chris Woakes briefly supported Ambrose but, when his off stump was disturbed by a Ruel Brathwaite shooter, it was left to the former England wicketkeeper to gather what he could with the tail.
He found a willing ally in Boyd Rankin, the pair adding 43 for the ninth wicket.
But both fell to Onions, Ambrose lbw playing across a full one, Rankin fending to gully.
Durham lost Will Smith and Gordon Muchall in pursuit of their modest target, but ultimately held little trouble in securing their second win of the season - and the Bears' first defeat.

"What a win for Durham. At the end of the second day they looked dead and buried but rose from the ashes to turn the match in their favour.
"The bowlers should be commended for their toil, while the batting performances of Michael di Venuto, Ian Blackwell and Dale Benkenstein can't go without a big mention.
"Once on top, Durham didn't let Warwickshire get away from them as they did in the first innings and Scott Borthwick must also come in for special praise as well. He took a career-best 4-25 in Warwickshire's second innings, then steered Durham across the line as a stand-in opener.

"Warwickshire succumbed to their customary defeat in Durham, but it wasn't until the final session on day three that they surrendered the initiative.
"The Bears had no real chance of setting a decent target on day four, but there was a welcome half-century from Tim Ambrose, who is showing signs of a real return to form.
"Two wins and a defeat from three away games is not a bad start at all after last year's relegation battle - but the Bears will be thrilled to see Edgbaston next week."
