Scotland slipped to a fourth straight defeat in the CB40 on Monday, losing by six runs to Warwickshire at Edgbaston.

Scottish seamers Matthew Parker and Gordon Goudie shared nine wickets on the way to bowling out the Bears for 224 runs.

Josh Davey gave the Scots hope with 91 runs from 98 deliveries.

But Warwickshire's Darren Maddy claimed two quick wickets, and the Scots came up six short after 40 overs.

Parker's five wickets for the loss 47 runs marked the best Scotland bowling performance against county opposition since Australian overseas player Ian Moran took 5-28 against Northamptonshire in 2006.

The defeat leaves Scotland bottom of seven-team Group B after previous losses to Durham, Leicestershire and Surrey.

They next take on Surrey at the Grange in Edinburgh on Sunday 15 May.
