Leicestershire hang on to draw with Gloucestershire

|Glos 11pts, Leics 7pts|
Gloucestershire were forced to settle for a draw at Grace Road after Leicestershire hung on to avoid defeat.
After the home side were invited to follow on after being bowled out for 323, 181 runs in arrears, Leicestershire were in trouble.
But, from 134-5 second time around, they were rescued by an unbroken 111-run sixth-wicket stand between Paul Dixey and Jigar Naik.
Dixey finished on 72, while Naik was still there at the end on 32.
Dixey has a first-class century to his name for Durham University against Lancashire, but this half-century was his first in the County Championship, having never played a four-day game for Kent, who released him at the end of last season.
Having been taken on trial by Leicestershire this season, he is currently standing in for the injured Tom New. And this valuable innings will have done the 23-year-old's chances of securing a contract at Grace Road no harm at all.
Leicestershire were deep in trouble when they lost half their side second time around and were still 47 adrift, Will Gidman claiming three of the wickets.
But Dixey and Naik stayed together for 31 overs before the teams shook hands on a draw at the start of the final hour.
