Lancashire wicketkeeper Gareth Cross claimed three key stumpings as his side beat Worcestershire by six runs.
Stephen Moore's 28 from 20 balls got the home side off to a good start but spinners Moeen Ali and Shaaiq Chowdry restricted Lancashire to 154-7.
Moeen's quickfire 24 provided a fine platform for the visitors, who had their 50 up inside five overs.
But, with Gary Keedy (3-14) bowling well and Cross on form, Worcestershire fell short on 148-9.
The visitors will blame themselves after Vikram Solanki and Alexei Kervezee combined with Ali to apparently put them in the driving seat as they replied to Lancashire's innings.
When Kervezee departed they were 68-3 in the sixth over and well on course but, from that point, wickets fall far too frequently.
After Thursday's tie against Derbyshire, Lancashire lie second in the North Group table behind Warwickshire going into Sunday's trip to Leicester.
Lancashire spin bowler Gary Keedy:
"We'd played on this pitch previously against Notts and had a good idea it was going to spin.
"We've had a good success ratio playing the three left-armers. Steven Croft worked really hard in the winter and he's better than a part-time spinner.
"It was a good win but I think if we'd have bowled and fielded slightly better we should have won more comfortably than we did."
