|Leicestershire 139-4 beat Northants 135-5 by six wickets|
Veteran Paul Nixon and England prospect James Taylor shared a stand of 84 as Leicestershire beat Northants by six wickets at Wantage Road.
After Joshua Cobb made 26, Nixon (44) and Taylor (36 not out) saw the visitors to victory on 139-4 with six balls to spare.
Earlier, Matthew Hoggard took 3-21 as Northants struggled to 135-5.
Johan Botha hit two sixes and a four in his innings of 36, while Alex Wakely made 30 off 23 balls.
Steelbacks captain Andrew Hall told BBC Radio Northampton:
"It's Twenty20 cricket and anything can happen. We didn't have a great game today and we know that.
"We felt in a good place. We had some really good practices but we just didn't get the start today.
"In the end, we had to struggle through the first part of our innings. I thought we put up a competitive score but you see what happens when they come out and hit the ball well."
