Andrew Gale hit 60 and Adil Rashid took 4-26 as Yorkshire beat Lancashire by 11 runs in the Roses Twenty20 match at Headingley.

Adam Lyth scored 45 and Jonny Bairstow 32 as the Tykes ran up 178-4 off their 20 overs.

Lancashire lost wickets regularly to the Yorkshire spinners before a late flourish from Jordan Clark (38) lifted them to 167 all out.

The victory lifts Yorkshire to fourth in the North Group with games in hand.

The heavy rain which had been forecast held off, much to the delight of the majority in the 13,000 crowd.
