Cheshire edge Cornwall on day one of Minor Counties


Cornwall trail Cheshire by 29 runs with only two first innings wickets remaining after day one of their Minor Counties clash in Chester.

Batting first, Cheshire recovered from 123-8 to end on 217 all out as number eight Daniel Berry top scored with 63.

Cornwall's batsmen failed to take advantage as they stumbled to 188-8 at the close with Tom Sharp (50 not out) leading the way.

Richard Logan was Cheshire's best bowler finishing with figures of 4-56.
