Shahid Afridi bowls Hampshire to victory over Middlesex

Shahid Afridi claimed three scalps as Hampshire completed a seven-wicket win over Middlesex to extend their lead at the top of the FL t20 South Group.
Dimitri Mascarenhas dismissed both Middlesex openers before Pakistan all-rounder Afridi ripped through the middle order, taking 3-16.
Sam Robson (28 not out) helped the home team limp to 121-9 at Uxbridge.
Jimmy Adams (38 not out), James Vince (39) and Sean Ervine (22 not out) then guided Hampshire to an easy win.
Afridi, who has now taken 13 wickets for 83 runs in just four matches, dismissed Scott Newman and Neil Dexter with successive balls as Middlesex collapsed from 61-1 to 74-6.
Having won this bottom v top clash, holders Hampshire have now won nine of their 12 matches, while Middlesex have been beaten nine times in 11 games.

"Middlesex fielded a young batting line-up and came unstuck against the competition's form team.
"Hampshire's impressive spinners took control in the middle overs, forcing a collapse, leaving Sam Robson to try and hold things together.
"Even with Steve Finn in the side, Middlesex had little hope of defending a low total on the ground that saw Gloucestershire claim the record for the biggest total in a domestic Twenty20 five days earlier."
