A disciplined team bowling performance from Surrey helped them to an 18-run win over Glamorgan in Cardiff.

Half centuries from Zander de Bruyn (70) and Jason Roy (51) got the home side to 169-4.

Glamorgan's response never really got going, and they were pegged back by spinners Gareth Batty and Zafar Ansari.

Graham Wagg's 46 from 27 balls gave the home side some hope, but the former Derbyshire man was left with too much to do as Glamorgan fell short.

BBC Wales cricket correspondent Edward Bevan:

"Not at any stage did Glamorgan look like chasing down 170, but questions must be asked regarding their tactics.

"Why did they field first after winning the toss? The Cardiff pitch is known to turn and get slower in the second innings, and that's exactly what happened.

"Spinners Robert Croft and Dean Cosker bowled only five overs between them, and the bowling changes were at times baffling.

"Surrey added 92 in the last 8.2 overs, and Glamorgan, despite an innings of 46 from just 27 balls from Graham Wagg, fell 18 runs short."
